Introduction to Beekeeping

Have you ever considered starting to keep your own bees? Beekeeping is a rewarding hobby with the benefits of supporting a healthy local ecosystem, beeswax to make candles, lip balm, and other products. Not to mention delicious honey for your friends and family to enjoy.

Join us and representatives from the MidYork Beekeepers Association for an introductory beekeeping course. Topics presented will cover informational facts about bees, the basics, and essentials of beekeeping, start-up costs and maintenance, and care and time that your new hobby will involve. Following the course, the instructors will be available to answer any questions about bees and beekeeping that you may have.
